Not everything lasts unfortunately. Due to OMSI expansion projects taking place over the next several years it was time to move on due to construction and potential obstruction for customer access to the train cars. It was bittersweet to depart from the tracks, but our new location on SE Hawthorne Blvd now places us on one of the business foot traffic streets in the city. Even better...our store kinda looks like a newer version of the Michael Myers house.
Whether I-5 or I-205 you simply shoot up or down to Hawthorne Blvd and we are pretty much on the corner of 34th & Hawthorne at 3337 SE Hawthorne (Portland, OR 97214) - diagonal from the OnPoint back on the corner. Look for our entry way alley and Bigfoot tracks between Champagne Poetry coffee and bakery, Road To Tibet Imports and Glasshaus Flowers & Plants.
We are really all over the map on collectibles, however we love Lego, Hot Wheels, comics and Funkos. A majority of our inventory are cards, comics, Hot Wheels, and Funko products ranging from traditional 4", 6", 10", Pop! Rides, Pop! Moments, Pop! Vnyl, Pop! Pez, Pop! Mini's, Pop! Albums, Funko T's, Funko Sodas...and the list goes on. We carry a wide variety of English, Japanese and Chinese Pokemon & TCG Cards, sports cards, action figures, games, M&M collectibles, apparel, and more from companies like Neca, Mattel, Jada, Lego, Kenner, Loungefly, Disney, McFarlane, Dark Horse Comics, Tokidoki & more. You can also choose to e-shop here on our official site and choose from a variety of in-store inventory shipped from store to door.
We no longer purchase Funko products outside of new releases directly from Funko. We DO NOT currently buy other collectible products although we consider some retro (aka old school) items depending on the condition and manufacturer. Things of immediate interest are classic Matchbox, Pokemon, Transformers and some comic book titles. You can message us to schedule an appointment. Walking-in with boxes of items unfortunately may result in turn-away due to day, time, customers in-store, etc.
Yes and no. Factors include time of year, condition and if the product fits within our current list of sold products. Trades of less valuable products totally one valuable product are typically not considered. We must be able to move (sell) the trade in product as easily as the product desired. You must also take advantage on the trade amount agreed to on the day of trade-in. We do not do store credit "on the books". Depending on the trade-in, we pay anywhere from .25 to .45 cents on the dollar. Do not expect street value or PPG on trade-ins. The most accurate way to find out your products current street value worth is EBay. With trades are releasing product with the possibility that your trade-in may sit on the shelf. This is simply the cost of doing business and doing trade-ins on a retail level. If your trade-ins exceed a few dozen items, we ask that you schedule to meet with us Wed-Friday during afternoon hours.
Doesn't hurt to ask if we take in signed David Hasslehoff Baywatch shorts. In other words, if it's a collectible and fits into our wheelhouse we will consider it if space allows. Pops! Hot Wheels, Star Wars stuff, Movie and Television set pieces, etc etc.
We accept cash and all major credit cards. Apple Pay and Venmo is now an option, too. We can even make the whole process contactless.
This is a slippery slope. We are a collectible store and pets will be pets. If we are being honest, we love animals and have donated to several animal charities over time. We do however prefer only visibly-tagged or documented Service animals in the store. If you have a small pet that wants to shop with us, it must be carried to avoid the obvious. Our store is also carpeted so pet hair and dander can potentially be an issue. On the subject of ghosts and imaginary dragons they tend to drool and leak at times so we are currently not ghost or dragon-friendly.
I think we might be going on our 3rd degree of separation with Bacon at the moment.
